OSRS Tears of Guthix Guide

Tears of Guthix takes you on an adventure that begins from the Lumbridge Swamp. You’ll be tasked to help a Guthix Follower named Juna, restore a cavern. The dungeons below are flooded with tears from the God Wars that took place.

These tears were shed by Guthix and are believed to have special powers holding knowledge about what truly happened. Juna is actually a serpent that guards the cave through which you’ll be passing. She’s been there for 3,000 years now and wishes to hear stories about what’s happened to the world.

Quest Requirements

Tears of Guthix is a very short quest, but there are a few requirements that you need to cover. First, you need to get at least 43 Quest Points to begin the journey.

Besides that, you’ll need 20 Mining, 20 Crafting, and 49 Fire Making. Make sure you have these checked before starting. If you need to buy osrs gold or skilling service, Rsorder will be the best choice!

Lastly, you’ll need a few items that’ll help you along the way. A Lit Sapphire Lantern, made by using a Cut Sapphire on a Bullseye Lantern, Pickaxe, Rope, Chisel, and Tinderbox.

Walkthrough

If you have progressed to a certain point in The Lost Tribe quest, you’ll be able to access the caves through the Lumbridge Castle cellar (downstairs). If not, you need to equip a Spiny or Slayer Helmet to deflect the incoming damage from Wall Beasts.

Path #1

If you haven’t completed The Lost Tribe, visit Juna through the Lumbridge Swamp. It’s the stage where you’ll need to have your Sapphire Lantern on you. Make sure that it doesn’t get extinguished or broken as it’ll come in handy.

Once you enter the cave, head south until you see a small river to jump over. On this route there is a grey X on a wall somewhere that leads inside a room full of swamp gas, so be careful. Anyways, keep heading south, and then move east until you see a slope. Head down the slope and you’ll find Luna. Speak to her to begin the quest.

Path #2

If you have completed The Lost Tribe, then the easiest way is to head downstairs to the Lumbridge Castle basement, and then climb through the holed wall. Now, head south to climb through another hole, which will now lead you directly to the cave. You can use a Pickaxe to clear the way ahead.

From here, keep heading south, and then jump across the river. Finally, enter the tunnel and head east to find Luna, who is at the bottom of the slope. Speak to her and begin the quest.

Juna

She will start telling you about the tales of the tears within. She’ll also mention how tired she has become guarding the cave for 3,000 years. She’ll want you to tell her a story about the world above, and only then will you get further access to collect the Tears.

Stone Bowl

Now, you’ll need a Stone Bowl to collect the tears. So, head northwest and climb the rocks to get above. Here you’ll find Light Creatures so take out your Sapphire Lantern and use it on them. Doing so will transport you to the south side of the cave.

Wield your Pickaxe to mine a Magic Stone, and then use your Chisel on it to turn it into a Bowl. Now, return to Juna the same way and hand the Bowl over to her. Ta-da! Quest Completed.
